More than one million 3D televisions in 2010
Based on the generalization of LED and LCD technologies at 240 Hz, 1.2 million 3D televisions are expected to be sold this year and more than 15 million in 2013.
According to the latest report of DisplaySearch The generalization of LED backlighting and 240 Hz LCDs will be key to the expansion of the 3D television market. According to this consultancy, the number of 3D-ready televisions sold this year will reach 1.2 million, growing to 15 in 2013 and up to 64 million units in 2018.
Paul Gray, Research Director of TV Entertainment Electronics at DisplaySearch, said: "We've passed the first hurdle.
