40% of large format televisions sold are already 4K

Según un informe de GfK, el 40% de los televisores de gran formato entre 50 a 59″ que se comercializaron el pasado septiembre fueron Ultra-HD.

El último estudio de mercado de GfK Group destaca que en el pasado mes de septiembre, la venta de televisores de gran formato compatibles con 4K supusieron ya el 40%.

En el periodo de enero a octubre, las ventas en Reino Unido, Francia, Alemania, Italia y España, superaron las 300.000 unidades”.

In the UK, the total sales volume of Ultra High Definition televisions last year was less than 4,000 units. In September the sale of UHDTV televisions accounted for 17 percent of the total market.

The increase in supply and the drop in price are the keys that would justify this increase. While last year only a dozen models were offered on the market, currently there are more than fifty.

In September, 40 percent of large format TVs ages 50 to 59 were Ultra-HD. This figure increases when it comes to 60″ units, reaching 57 percent.
