Successful Sony call for 'The power of images'

Hundreds of professionals are passing through yesterday and today the road-show that Sony, within the program 'The power of images', has organized at the Plató Entijuana in Barcelona. Other new features include the new monitors for broadcast and production applications, including the 24" 3D prototype; the BRS-200 compact mixer; the HSC-300 HD studio camera; the HXR-NX5, the first camcorder in the new NXCAM range, and the SRW-9000, the first in the HDCAM SR family, as well as the latest additions to the XDCAM EX family.

A successful call is achieving Sony in its call for two days organized in Barcelona within the program 'The power of images'. Hundreds of professionals are taking advantage of this meeting to learn about the latest developments in the Sony Professional product range, chat with experts, receive advice and acquire fundamental knowledge.

The session organized yesterday in which fundamental aspects in stereoscopic production were addressed or the workshop on the new HDCAM SR SRW-9000 camera filled the Entijuana set in the city of Barcelona to capacity.
Among the new features, the 24” 3D monitor prototype stands out, which completes Sony's wide range of monitoring solutions with the BVM-L Trimaster series for reference, the PVM-L Trimaster for broadcast environments or the professional ChromaTRU.

As for the already extensive XDCAM HD solutions, professionals are interested in the PDW-F800 camcorder, the PDLV-HR1 station, the PDW-HD1500 and F1600 recorders, the PDW-U1 lightweight unit or the PDZ-1 instant browsing software.

In HDCAM, the HDW-650P camcorder and the HDW-M2000P studio VTR continue to make waves as does the SRW-5800 CTR in HDCAM SR.

For live production and presentation environments, the new BRS-200 compact mixer stands out, a mixer that can be used in SD and HD configurations in countless applications such as staging live events, conferences, concerts, broadcast operations... In these environments, the BRC-Z330 SD/HD remote camera and the LMD-1750 presentation monitor also stand out. Solutions such as the XDCAM HD 422 PDW-HD1500 recorder or the independent and compact Anycast Station AWS-G5000 production station are also suitable for these environments.

In the HDV range, based on a hybrid concept of format, media and workflow, we must highlight a good number of camcorder options such as the HVR-S270, the HVR-Z7 and Z5, as well as the HVR-1500 recorders and the HVR-M series.

In the new NXCAM range, the new HXR-NX5 camcorder stands out, the first in this family. In the now classic XDCAM EX, mention the PMW-350L, EX3, EX1R and EX30 camcorders. Another solution that is attracting the attention of those who visit this Sony road show is the PXU-MS240 portable storage unit and the PXU-HC240 (for HDD cartridge).

Finally, mention Sony's proposals for digital signage and DOOH with screens such as the GXD-L65H1 or the FWD-S42H1 and S47, as well as native HD video walls of any shape and size managed from the Ziris Canvas platform. In security, attention is mainly focusing on intelligent monitoring software. In professional audio, the possibilities are also immense, from the professional PCM-M10 D50 and D1 recorders to the most advanced wireless microphone systems.
