Masterclass de Media Composer 4 y Pro Tools 8.0.3

Almost a hundred professionals have participated in the masterclasses organized by Avid this Wednesday and Thursday in Madrid in which some of the new features of Media Composer 4 and the new options for video and post-production of Pro Tools 8.0.3 have been revealed.

Both for professionals who work on PC or Mac platforms, for two days, Avid has shown in Madrid all its potential for editing video and audio efficiently and quickly.

In morning and afternoon sessions, those who attended this meeting point were able to exchange impressions with audio and video post-production specialists who work daily with Pro Tools and Media Composer.

In the case of version 4 of Media Composer, Avid has shown some of its new features such as the AMA (Avid Media Access) concept or powerful tools such as Mix and Match, Avid MetaFuze, new Subcap Effects that facilitate subtitles and working with Timecode in real time.

Examples of work with material from the NET and the possibilities that Media Composer offers for editing stereoscopic images have also been shown.

Pro Tools
Regarding audio, in these masterclasses emphasis has been placed on synchronizing the material with the Pro Tools editors and the possibilities offered by working with the optional Video Satellite HD and LE software. This allows Pro Tools HD editors to quickly and easily open and play Avid HD or SD video sequences from a Media Composer or from PT LE.

Regarding ProTools 8.0.3, its new features include a new interface, dozens of new plug-ins and virtual instruments, new MIDI and notation functions, greater mixing and editing capabilities, better performance, audio shaping, and integration with Icon consoles, among many other working options.[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yV2t5yxsvvU[/youtube]
