Avid Media Composer 7, now on the market

Announced last NAB, the new version of the video and film editing software from Avid, Media Composer 7. The main novelty is an accelerated workflow when working with high-resolution material.

On the other hand, Avid has created a task management area from which to carry out background operations such as transcoding, copying or consolidation, allowing the user to forget about these processes, allowing them to focus on the creative part. Of note is the support for QuickTime with alpha or the new FrameFlex for image cropping.

Media Composer 7 supports Interplay Sphere for editing, syncing and sharing multimedia (Interplay Edition version only).

As for audio, it is now possible to use RTAS plug-ins to master the final audio mix thanks to the new Master Audio Fader. In addition, if it is complemented with Symphony, now available as an option (MC add-on), the user will have advanced color correction, effects and mastering tools.
