The 'Puente de San Juan' spot from Estrella Damm's summer campaign, made like last year's by Fran Torres, was shot in Super 16mm. Professional Cinematographic Equipment, EPC, as it did for the video clip 'Summercat', has supplied the camera equipment, on this occasion, an Arriflex 416.

“Sometimes what you're looking for is so close that it's hard to see it” is the motto of the new Estrella Damm beer spot that arrives, like last year, from the Villarrosàs agency and the advertising production company Indio Films, in video clip format with a song by the Australian band The Triangles and framed in a positive philosophy that looks at life “Mediterraneanly.”

He spot St. John's Bridge from Estrella Damm's summer campaign, made like last year's by Fran Torres, was shot in Super 16mm. Professional Cinematographic Equipment, EPC, as it did for the Summercat video clip, has supplied the camera equipment, on this occasion, an ARRIFlex 416 accompanied by a set of Zeiss T1.3 16mm optics (9.5mm/12mm/16mm/25mm/50mm) and 135mm, Optex T2.0 angle lenses (5.5mm and 8mm) and Century zooms 11.5-215mm, Canon 150-600mm, among other filming material. behind the camera

In the direction of photography, Juanmi Azpiroz. Both he and the director Fran Torres operated the camera, which above all they carried on their shoulders, seeking naturalness in the story. The technical camera team also includes focus puller Imanol Nabea, Toni Rodríguez as camera assistant, and Ismael Blanco as video technician.

If in 2009 the story took place in Formentera, this year the paradisiacal settings of the island of Menorca have been chosen. Fine sand beaches, crystal clear waters, white villages... are the identity mark of the locations.

As highlighted by Sensor de EPC, there were nine days of filming, between April 23 and May 2, with stops in the port and center of Ciutadella de Menorca, the white sand beach of Cala Macarelleta, cycling through La Vall d'Algaiarens, Cala Pregonda Island, the sea route between the cliffs of Cala Rafalet, Favàritx Lighthouse, the Binibeca beach surrounded by pine trees, the fishing village Binibeca Vell…

It was also filmed on the Costa Brava, on the small beach of Es Poal in Cadaqués, where the story begins precisely with the preparation of the bonfire on the night of San Juan, a symbol that marks the beginning of summer. There is also a nod to the cavalcade of knights in Ciutadella, a celebration that dates back to the Middle Ages and that also takes place during the Sant Joan festivities where the riders (caixers) masterfully make their way through the crowd until they reach the square to celebrate the “jaleo” or horse dance.

In the sea scenes, in addition to the sailboat where the protagonists sail, the filming team had a swallow-type support boat, two 8-meter long boats for fast movements and several small zodiacs.

80 extras participated in the party at the manor house, while at the Ciutadella horse festival, there were 400 people, including extras and the spontaneous audience that joined. A number that almost doubled for the filming of the concert with the band The Triangles, where nearly 800 people gathered.

Chema Sayago, production director of the Indio Films team, told EPC Sensor that currently the Australian group The Triangles is dissolved and they have reunited just to shoot the spot. From a production point of view, it had its work, because each of the components was in a part of the world, London, New York, Melbourne...

The Triangles recorded the song again Applejack in a studio in Barcelona especially for the Estrella Damm video clip, with a total duration of 3.33 minutes, and which will also be broadcast on television in shorter versions.
