The Californian XenData has just launched a new line of servers for archiving content on high-capacity LTO-5 data tapes. The SX series of servers will be available in six models.

The Californian XenData has just launched a new line of servers for archiving content on high-capacity LTO-5 data tapes.

The SX series of servers will be available in six models, all of them running the proprietary X65 Edition software. Each unit is supplied in 2RU, working with files with Ethernet connectivity between 1 and 10 Gbps.

These servers can manage from 60 TB to more than a Petabyte of data.

The new XenData servers are configured to manage numerous LTO libraries, including systems from Dell, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Oracle/Storagetek, Quantum, Sony and Spectra Logic.
