EVS-OpenCube will present its latest MXF solutions in IBC
OpenCube will be presented for the first time in IBC integrated within the Belgian company EVS to show from September 10 to 14 its latest solutions for intake and digitalization of workflows for television, studies, post-production and D-Cinema.
EVS And OpenCube, who will go to IBC for the first time together after the integration of both companies, will present their new generation of OpenCube servers in Amsterdam, designed to offer producers and operators an agile and efficient workflow as well as help the digitalization of the digital film processes.
The new OSPENCubeHD/SD server V2.3 offers a wide range of innovative functions both in SD and HD with double channel for MPEG Long Gop and native support to the CODEC Sony XDCAM HD and AVID DNXHD. This platform also offers a JPEG2000 coding process faster than real time as well as MXF file generation for integration in all types of production workflows.
The OpenCubedCP V-2.3 update presents, on the other hand, the possibility of a coding without direct compression and HD, 2K and 4K material, thus simplifying the management of content and operations in digital cinematography environments. Providing DCP coding 2K faster than real time, and 4K DCP coding close to real time, this platform allows the editing, reformatado and modification of DCP in an agile and safe way.
Also in IBC we will see the latest solutions for acquisition and content management of EVS-OpenCube based on MXF. Among them, the XFConverter V1.1 multipurpose reformatado tool, ideal for digital workflow migrations that require file conversion without transcoding video content and multiformate output.
For the intake of P2 material, OpenCube's proposal is the latest version of P2SOFT V2.3 that includes MXF P2 content management for Panasonic with review, intake, logging and transfer, as well as direct consolidation to the time line in Avid Interplay that allows you to edit at the same time that the intake is carried out. This system allows users to manage their files in intake and transfer to different destinations such as playout servers and postproduction, at the same time.
Finally, highlight the new mxftoolkit V2.3, an ideal solution for support of formats based on MXF files since it allows to integrate all standard market, camcorders, non-linear editing systems and digital recorders of D-Cinema, storage and emission servers. Among its novelties, the partial restoration MXF MPEG2 Long Gop stands out.
