EVS-OpenCube will present its latest MXF solutions at IBC
OpenCube will be presented for the first time at IBC integrated within the Belgian company EVS to show from September 10 to 14 its latest solutions for ingest and digitalization of workflows for television, studios, post-production and D-Cinema.
EVS and OpenCube, which will attend IBC for the first time together after the integration of both companies, will present in Amsterdam their new generation of OpenCube servers, designed to offer producers and operators an agile and efficient workflow as well as help the digitization of processes in digital cinema.
The new OspenCubeHD/SD v2.3 server offers a wide range of innovative features in both SD and HD with dual channel MPEG Long GOP and native codec support Sony XDCAM HD and Avid DNxHD. This platform also offers a faster than real-time JPEG2000 encoding process as well as MXF file generation for integration into all types of production workflows.
The OpenCubeDCP v-2.3 update, for its part, presents the possibility of encoding without direct compression of HD, 2K and 4K material, thus simplifying as much as possible the management of content and operations in digital cinematography environments. Providing faster than real-time 2K DCP encoding, and near-real-time 4K DCP encoding, this platform enables agile and secure editing, reformatting and modification of DCP.
Also at IBC we will see the latest EVS-OpenCube content acquisition and management solutions based on MXF. Among them, the multipurpose reformatting tool XFConverter v1.1 stands out, ideal for digital migrations of workflows that require file conversion without transcoding of video content and multi-format output.
For the ingestion of P2 material, OpenCube's proposal is the latest version of P2soft v2.3 that includes MXF P2 content management for Panasonic with review, ingestion, logging and transfer, as well as direct consolidation to the timeline in Avid Interplay that allows editing at the same time as the ingestion is carried out. This system allows users to manage their files in ingest and transfer to different destinations such as playout and post-production servers, at the same time.
Finally, highlight the new MXFToolkit v2.3, an ideal solution for supporting formats based on MXF files since it allows you to integrate all standard cameras on the market, camcorders, non-linear editing systems and D-Cinema digital recorders, storage and broadcast servers. Among its new features, the partial MXF MPEG2 Long GOP restoration stands out.
