Two new virtual studios from Orad in Portugal

Vantec integrates with Orad technology the largest virtual scenography system in the Iberian Peninsula in the Sports Production Center of the Portuguese RTP. On the other hand, the new Portuguese economic channel in HD, Economía Tv, has also trusted Vantec and Orad for its virtual set.

Vantec has integrated the largest virtual scenography system in the Iberian Peninsula in the Sports Production Center of the Portuguese RTP. The Orad ProSet system has four independent camera channels, with freedom of camera movements in all positions based on Orad's Xync infrared tracking system.

RTP will base almost all of ETPN's production in Studio B in Porto, including different informative spaces, debates and interviews. The 1:00 p.m. news program on RTP1 Jornal da Tarde or the weekend program Bom Dia Portugal are already being produced in these studios.

All virtual sets have been created and developed by the scenography department of the Portuguese public broadcaster using the Orad 3Designer creation tool.

The new virtual studio has emerged as a complement to the Lisbon virtual studio where spaces such as Great Interview, Newspaper 2 or Africa Reporter. As for Studio 4 in Lisbon, it produces for all RTP channels.

Economical TV

The first Portuguese economic channel in high definition, Economía Tv, has also just launched a virtual studio integrated by Vantec, in collaboration with Mobbit, with technology from the Israeli company. In this case, the virtual set is based on the DVG-2U platforms, supporting both the continuity and image graphics of the channel with the integration of GoTV solutions.

The virtual settings and graphics of the new HD channel have been developed by Bloom Graphics using Autodesk 3DS Max and Maya as well as Orad 3Designer.
