The newest member of the Sirius 800 large-scale array family offers flexible control options and high-performance modules in 16RU. The new Sirius 830, like all routers in this range, offers high-performance modular cross-point for flexible routing of SD, HD, ASI, 3 Gbps, and embedded audio signals.

Snell will introduce a new member of its popular Sirius 800 series of large-scale arrays, characterized by being multi-format and expandable. At 16RU, the new Sirius 830 offers 288 x 288 in a compact system ideal for small to medium-sized studios or mobile units, with the ability to provide a complement of 144 independent controllable outputs for connection to Snell's MV Series or another third-party multi-display solution.

Like all routers in the Sirius 800 family, the Sirius 830 offers high-performance modular cross-point features for flexible routing of SD, HD, ASI, 3Gbps and embedded audio signals. The system features optional redundant crosspoints for intelligent route usage monitoring, which allow in the event of a failure to automatically switch to the redundant access route and issue a user alarm across the entire Snell Centra control system and other monitoring applications.

Intuitive interface

The intuitive touchscreen interface on the front panel allows the Sirius 830 quick and easy access to a wide range of services such as status and diagnostic information. All this information can be linked to a Snell Centra system, allowing remote access to the same information, or through the Centra system engine to reassign signals, solving any incident. On the other hand, the unique Snell Catsii technology provides a real-time indication of the state of the array on both inputs and outputs, including four independent monitoring outputs so that users can monitor the signal health on the input and output stages of the array.

Alan Smith, product manager at Snell, said: large broadcasters. And, of course, the system is backed by Snell's world-renowned reputation for quality, reliability, and service."
