The Regional Television of Aragon has chosen its new Central Control video matrix for Grass Valley, acquiring the Nvision 8280 model, which has been supplied, installed and commissioned by the technical team of Crosspoint.

The Nvision series matrices stand out for their robustness, low latency and tight consumption, as many of the broadcasters and production companies that have them can attest, such as Mediaset, ETB, TV3, Dorna or BeIN Sports, among others.

Grass Valley Nvision 8280Nvision's Enterprise 8500 class arrays are designed with reliability, fault tolerance and redundancy as a priority. All input/output modules, crosspoints, power supplies, controllers and fans are front accessible and can be removed/changed with the system on and running (hot-swappable).

The supplied NV8280 matrix chassis allows a maximum capacity of 288 SDI inputs by 576 outputs due to its rectangular architecture.

Said chassis, its CPU cards and its power system, allow for 3G/HD/SD-SDI cards, hybrid cards (with de-embedders, audio re-embedders, MADI), VideoIP cards and cards with frame synchronizers, among other features, so that the step to higher performance, when required, is guaranteed in a simple way.

The option chosen by Aragón Tv is a matrix composed of a 16RU frame with capacity for up to 288x576 inputs and outputs, respectively. The system has redundancy in both power supplies and control cards and crosspoint cards.

The Nvision 8280 model is also 100% compatible with the Jupiter system control panels that the Aragonese region already had, providing the integration of mnemonics and tallies automatically.
