Vector 3 has been selected by the Thai Live TV to migrate to tapeless broadcasting based on Multiplay automation systems. A total of nine Vector Multiplay will serve, from the central control of Live TV, to output numerous programs, with their corresponding graphics, branding and broadcast automation in a solution based on IT standards. Backed by a dynamic architecture and fail-safe playout, Vector Multiplay eliminates costly server duplication without sacrificing channel protection as the system manages broadcast redundancy between different servers ensuring 24/7 fail-safe operation.

Vuthichai Wiwattanaseri, technical director of Live TV, commented that "we are trying to build a modern broadcast infrastructure, with technology that leverages the benefits of IT standards and with complete live and delayed program management capabilities. Vector Multiplay is in line with our vision and will be very useful in our content distribution to meet new business and revenue models."

The integration into Live TV has been carried out with KIT, a Vector 3 partner and global provider with headquarters in Prague of Video Asset Management (VAM) solutions and broadcast systems integration.

Vicente Kow, KIT sales manager, highlighted that "for the installation of Live TV, we put Vector Multiplay to the test. The system surpassed the competition with great deployment of end-to-end capabilities in a workflow based on highly scalable hardware that will allow Live TV to expand its programming options."

Live TV began broadcasting in November 1987, since then producing and distributing entertainment programs for cable television by providing complete program packages for nationwide cable television operators in metropolitan and provincial areas of Thailand. TV-produced programs are broadcast live 24/7 via a system of satellites equipped with signal encryption that restricts access to the signal. Only cable television operators that have contracted Live TV services can receive these programs and at the same time distribute them to their subscribers throughout the country.
