I Colombia-Madrid co-production meeting

Madrid Film Commission and the Colombian Embassy in Spain organize the first Colombia-Madrid co-production meeting, which will take place next Thursday, May 5 in Madrid. Initiatives of this type aim to lay the foundations for an exchange of information on operating systems and production procedures between both industries.

Madrid Film Commission and the Colombian Embassy in Spain organize the first Colombia-Madrid co-production meeting, which will take place next Thursday, May 5 at 11 in the morning at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid.

This work day is expected to be attended by audiovisual producers from Madrid and Colombia, all of them sponsored by the presence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia in Spain, Orlando Sardi de Lima, and by the president of the Madrid Film Commission Foundation, Enrique Cerezo Torres.

The Colombian audiovisual industry is undergoing a notable transformation, and the country offers geographical areas of diverse characteristics for filming. For this reason, the Madrid Film Commission has considered it appropriate to promote solid ties between the Colombian and Madrid audiovisual industries.

Colombia, for its part, is convinced of the quality, advancement and international projection of the Spanish film industry and wishes to deepen, strengthen and promote the links of the binational film communities.

Initiatives of this type aim to lay the foundations for an exchange of information on operating systems and production procedures between both industries, with special emphasis on the potential for co-production, legal frameworks and the new financing opportunities that arise.

To end the day, the participants of this meeting are invited to attend, on the same day the 5th at night, the inauguration of Documenta Madrid, the International Documentary Festival organized by the Arts Government Area of ​​the Madrid City Council.
