The Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC) has closed an agreement to co-produce feature films with the Spanish companies Troqua Visión and VM Broadcast.
This agreement seeks to promote film production on the island, energizing the audiovisual fabric and facilitating filming for both TV and film.
VM Broadcast will offer new filming possibilities on the island and will provide the latest technology in film recording.
For its part, Troqua Visión is another Spanish company that has been working in Cuba for a long time offering audiovisual services in order to facilitate the making of both television and film productions.
As a result of this agreement, this Thursday the musical was presented at the Casa de América in Madrid Hopelessly together. The musical directed by Jorge Luis Sánchez, with photography by José Manuel Riera, is based on the play Pogolotti-Miramar, by Alexis Vázquez, which narrates the conflicts faced by a couple between two young people of different skin colors, when their families oppose their interracial relationship.
For filming, VM Broadcast moved to the island, among other material, two camcorders Panasonic AJ-HPX3700 and two sets of Cine Prime FJS fixed optics, in addition to all the necessary material to facilitate the work of Cuban professionals.
