Panamanian National Television acquires For-A switchers

For-A has installed the HVS-350HS HD/SD and HVS-300HS HD/SD switchers in the Panamanian TVN studios. This new facility will be dedicated to the production of news, soap operas, movies, talk shows and variety programs. These switchers are portable, powerful and very easy to use.

“Our network is growing with the popularity of reality shows and music competitions,” said Rolando Guerra, Director of Engineering at TVN in Panama. “FOR-A's HVS-300HS and HVS-350HS allow us the flexibility to work with high definition in two different form factors,” he added.

Last spring, TVN-2 launched the Panama adaptation of the British reality show Got Talent. Other locally produced programs on TVN are the dance contest Muévelo, and soap operas Summer Dreams y The Kings of Humor.

Pedro Silvestre, from For-A, highlighted that these switchers “are portable, powerful, very easy to use and ideal in the studio or any recording location.”

Featuring an internal multiviewer, the HVS-300HS features frame synchronization on each input and 1.5 M/E digital video switching. The HVS-350HS also has 1.5 M/E although it has more inputs and more features without drastically increasing the size of the control panel.
