The Leonese Castilian Association of Audiovisual Producers, Acalpa, begins a new stage after the renewal of its management team.

The entity is promoting the participation of its partners through various actions to integrate opinions and suggestions of all professionals that make up the audiovisual and cinematographic sector of the community.

With the implementation of new activities, communication between the agents of the sector will be enhanced by making Acalpa into their meeting point. Networking meetings to generate a network of contacts between professionals and encourage alliances for joint projects, integration into professional social networks, online database generation of resources and professionals in the sector, are some of those activities. In this way we get the sector to be in contact, it will be represented and strengthened to cover major projects.

In addition, work teams are being created composed of professionals in the sector who will work in different areas: training, legal and technical advice, television, cinematography, image archive, international distribution, new professionals ... Participation in these teams is open to all those who are interested in promoting and developing the sector.

Acalpa also manages the Castilla y León Film Commission since 1999, an agency that has the mission of facilitating and promoting filming in Castilla y León.

The new Board of Directors of Acalpa is made up of Víctor Cid (audiovisual viewfinder) in the position of President, Jesús Mª Vielba (Irradia Creativity) in the Secretary and Jorge Vallejo (E2E4 Media) as treasurer. The team is completed by two vowels: Zeus Pérez, also from E2E4 Media, and film director Arturo Dueñas.

Continuing with projects already initiated by the previous management team, to which its 12 years of dedication to the Association is appreciated, a comparative study of the situation of the Leonese Castilian audiovisual sector is being carried out with respect to the rest of the autonomous communities. The audiovisual industry is one of the few that currently grows, and therefore, an important resource is these times. Our region has an exceptional potential, so Acalpa hopes to have the support and real participation of regional and local administrations.
