TVE carries out the first 3D technical test at the national level

This Monday the TVE-HD channel offered a concert by the group 'Violadores del verso', filmed with this new technology. Those who have a 3D television have been able to enjoy the broadcast using three-dimensional glasses. TVE is committed to being at the technological forefront with this first experimental free-to-air broadcast for the entire country.

This Monday, August 1, Spanish Television carried out the first test, nationally and openly, of the broadcast of a stereoscopic program. The experience consisted of the broadcast of the performance of the rap group 'Violadores de verso' filmed in Zaragoza a few weeks ago. Those who have a receiver with this technology and using glasses for three-dimensional content have been able to enjoy it.

RTVE's Technology Director, Pere Vila, has assured that "in recent years the HD channel has been launched on TVE with a very high level of quality" and to continue maintaining that level "we continue to make innovations." Among them, Vila highlights the current pilot tests for connected television, this 3D broadcast test and soon a multichannel television project.

Thus, TVE is committed to being at the technological forefront with this first experimental free-to-air broadcast for the entire country. Before the program, TVE has warned viewers of this type of 3D broadcast, which can be enjoyed as such with a suitable receiver and the corresponding 3D glasses.

'Violators of the verse', from Zaragoza

In collaboration with the Aragonese Radio and Television Corporation (CARTV), which recorded the concert, TVE has offered around two intense hours of rap music with one of the last performances of 'Violadores del verso' in their hometown. For more than a decade this group has taken to the stage with rap as its insignia and rhymes as its allies, with great success among lovers of this genre.

Among his long discography stand out Live to tell the tale o Vices and virtues, in addition to the recording of live concerts. Precisely this performance has been a provisional farewell to the solo projects of the group's members.
