With this operation, the new 3ality Technica becomes the largest supplier of production technology for stereoscopic environments. Now, both companies together will exponentially increase their developments, expanding their already considerable R&D effort. Physically, the headquarters will be in an expansion that will take place at the 3ality Digital facilities in Burbank (California).

3ality Digital announced this Thursday that it has acquired Element Technica, a company with extensive experience in manufacturing systems and accessories for stereoscopic 3D capture. After this operation, and under the name 3ality Technica, a group was formed that offers all types of solutions and accessories for control, precision, automation...

The Element Technica product line has become synonymous with ease of use, standing out for its design, accessibility and durability. For their part, 3ality Digital's proposals have been characterized by their precision, speed of use and advanced image processing.

Ahora, ambas compañías juntas, incrementarán exponencialmente sus desarrollos, ampliando su ya considerable esfuerzo en I+D. Físicamente, las compañías se combinarán en una ampliación de la de 3ality Digital en Burbank (California).

Steve Schklair, CEO of 3ality Technica, has acknowledged always having "great respect for Element Technica and its achievements. The total compatibility and lack of redundancy between the companies has made this acquisition possible, strengthening the company's position to provide the most advanced and reliable solutions in S3D. The biggest beneficiaries of this operation will be film and television producers as they will now have an unprecedented number of tools and technology adapted to their specific needs."

It is noteworthy that many of the major Hollywood film releases have been filmed using the systems and technologies of these two companies such as Jack the Giant Killer, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Prometheus, Underworld 4, Oz, y The Great Gatsby. In addition, companies such as BSkyB, the most advanced British broadcaster in 3D production, and HBS as host broadcaster for FIFA on the occasion of the World Cup have been relying on the solutions of both companies for some time.

Héctor Ortega, Senior Vice President of 3ality Technica, has been convinced that "with this acquisition, 3ality Technica is a decade ahead of the rest of the industry. Not only will much progress be made in automation, but the new industry standard begins to enjoy the simplicity and speed that we are capable of offering."

Stephen Pizzo, Senior Vice President of 3ality Technica, added that “this integration will eliminate additional auxiliary components every day, and the compatibility of our systems with third parties will allow 3ality Technica full connectivity towards post-production, visual effects and live streaming.”

The combined experience that forms 3ality Technica ranges from Hollywood movies and television, to live broadcasts of sporting events and concerts, from NASA. Additionally, it positions the company to offer the world the most comprehensive 3D Advanced Education Program (3DIQ™) to filmmakers, broadcasters, and crafters.

Finally, it should be noted that Element Technica is also known for its line of accessories for both 2D and 3D, and the new merged company has already confirmed that they will continue with this range, maintaining in this case the name Element Technica.

"Some of our key customers and partners who have been informed of the operation have shown great enthusiasm, as they all understand the benefit this will have on their work. We have already integrated some of the best aspects of both companies' product offerings, so the market will see an immediate improvement in tools, component integration and customer service," Schklair said.
