Clearlake Capital Group and 3ality Digital announced at NAB 2011 that the equity fund has carried out the recapitalization of 3ality Digital, a provider of 3D production technology and specialist equipment for the film and television industry.

Clearlake has acquired the majority of the newly issued preferred stock of 3ality Digital (Booth 1275), and will own the majority of the voting shares of 3ality Digital. The management of 3ality has also participated in the operation. Other points of the agreement have not been disclosed.

Behdad Eghbali, a founding partner at Clearlake, commented that "3ality Digital provides the highest quality 3D production technology and equipment for television and film companies. Additionally, 3ality reduces the cost and time associated with 3D production, provides superior quality images and reduces eye strain. We are very pleased to be partners with this innovative and proven team as 3D continues to have strong momentum and 3ality continues to lead the way."
