Albavisión opta por Rohde&Schwarz como socio para su nueva planta

Tras abrir un proceso de manifiestos de interés, Albavisión se ha decantado finalmente por Rohde&Schwarz como socio para poner en marcha un ambicioso proyecto para fabricar transmisores, transponedores y gap fillers multi standard television in the free trade zone of Guatemala.

This plant will be dedicated to the manufacturing and assembly of transmitters, transponders and gap fillers multi standard television. Located in the Guatemalan free trade zone, it will produce equipment under NTSC, DVB-T/T2 and ISDB-Tb standards with an estimated production of about 600 units over a period of six years, at a rate of 100 units per year, with power levels below 2kW.

Entre otros, el grupo que cuenta con Juan Pablo Alviz como CTO, mantuvo reuniones con fabricantes como Mier, NEC, DB Electrónica, Electrosys, Screen Service, Thomson, Linear Egatel, Harris y Rohde&Schwarz.

After a thorough process of selecting the proposals, the group headed by Ángel González has finally opted for Rohde&Schwarz as a partner to launch this ambitious project because a high volume of the planned investments are related to instrumentation, test and measurement systems, areas in which the German multinational is an undisputed reference.

Para agilizar todo el proceso de puesta en marcha, cuyos primeros pasos podrían darse incluso antes de acabar este año, se han constituido dos grupos de trabajo por parte de Albavisión y Rohde&Schwarz, bajo coordinación de Édgar Sandoval Jr.,
