Area Suena goes to Broadcast with the Avid System 5MC professional control surface

Area Suena will present for the first time in Spain the professional control surface System 5MC Avid Professional Console (formerly Euphonix).

The DAW System 5MC control surface will be the main novelty of Area Sounds (stand 3A15) at Broadcast 2011. Based on Euphonix's Eucon communication protocol, it is capable of controlling multiple audio and video DAW applications simultaneously, among which are the most important ones such as ProTools, Nuendo, Pyramix, Logic Pro, Avid Media Composer, Final Cut, Digital Performer, Sonar, Maestro, MIO Console, etc., on both Mac and PC platforms.

This control surface can have from 8 to 48 channels and includes the MC Pro module as master control of all functions and the control network of multiple DAWs. The System 5MC can work with any application compatible with the EuCon protocol or HUI protocol or Mackie Control and can switch between multiple Mac or PC workstations that coexist on the network

At its stand, Area Suena will exhibit a System 5MC simultaneously controlling an environment of several DAWs with Dolby-E compatibility, based on Minnetonka Surcode Dolby-E software encoding and decoding, which is integrated as a plug-in into the controlled applications.
