Tom Ammermann visits BIT Broadcast 2014 invited by Area Suena

The prestigious German engineer, internationally recognized for his work and research for more than a decade in the new technologies of surround sound and 3D audio production, comes to Madrid invited by Espacio Suena.

Area Sounds has invited the prestigious German engineer Tom Ammerman to BIT Broadcast 2014, internationally recognized for his work and research for more than a decade in new surround sound technologies and 3D audio production.

Ammermann is general director of one of the leading companies in audio and 3D sound software and plug-ins, New Audio Technology, of which Area Suena is a distributor in Spain.

His work has been intentionally recognized on many occasions and this year 2014 he was awarded the “FellowShip Award” by the AES Committee (Audio Engineering Society) for his contribution to the development of new surround sound technologies for headphones and 3D audio production.

Among other software developed by them, Tom Ammerman shares his knowledge with the professionals who attend the fair about “Spatial Audio Designer” (SAD), the first professional audio tool on the market for the creation of content and monitoring of immersive and 3D audio for cinema, music and games.

SAD allows you to mix and monitor surround or 3D sound with multiple 5.1, 7.1, 11.1 and 13.1 speakers within any DAW.

In addition, SAD's 3D Surround headphone technology opens the door to a new dimension of audio production, to new multi-speaker mixing formats that use three dimensions in any type of headphones and in any audio device on the market, being technically a two-channel stereo format.
