Hideaki Nakamura, new president of Sony PSLA

As former CEO of Sony Professional Solutions Middle East and Africa, Hideaki Nakamura replaces Shigeru Morikawa as President of Sony Professional Solutions Latin America.

Hideaki Nakamura joined Sony Corporation in Japan in 1987 after graduating from Keio University with a degree in Science and Engineering.

Nakamura worked as International Product Marketing Manager for broadcasting in Japan until 1994. The following year, he joined SOBEC (former company name of Sony Professional Solutions Latin America) as Marketing and Accounting Manager until 1999.

Returning to Japan as International Accounting Manager for the Professional Broadcasting division, Nakamura transferred to Dubai in the summer of 2008 as Managing Director of Sony Professional Solutions Middle East and Africa. In this role, he was responsible for promoting the vision and mission of Sony Corporation to foster the company's business expansion throughout these markets.

Nakamura brings to Sony Professional Solutions a deep knowledge of the Latin American market and extensive experience working with emerging markets around the world.
