BrightDrive Media File Servers: thinking about media and entertainment

Bright Technologies presents its new generation of servers designed for industry and entertainment. The servers incorporate Bright software, including advanced BrightClip 2.0 recording technology.

Starting next January, Bright Technologies will launch an interesting range of servers specially designed for the media and entertainment industries.

Designed and developed to meet the rigorous demands of these environments, BrightDrive Procyon and Triton BrightDrive servers will offer a powerful set of features and functionality that increase productivity and maximize profitability through real-time collaboration between all customers.

The servers incorporate Bright software, including advanced BrightClip 2.0 recording technology. The latest version of BrightClip is faster and smarter than ever, helping to overcome the problem of degradation by eliminating fragmentation, randomization and inter-leaving of frames.

BrightDrive Procyon, the next generation of Bright's G2 Pro, is housed in a compact 3U. The highly available server uses integrated connectivity, eliminating the need for third-party components. Procyon has an innovative hardware platform, along with current and stable software, including support for StorNext 4.2.

The new BrightDrive Triton takes the capabilities of the BrightDrive G2, its predecessor, to a higher level. The new server occupies a single rack unit, and is also compatible with StorNext 4.2.

These servers reduce cooling requirements, thereby significantly reducing energy costs. The fully agnostic server architecture enables an integrated interface with your preferred applications, protocol, resolution and formats, eliminating the need for storage investment. They offer a high level of operational stability, consistent and predictable performance, and high-speed access for all users at all times. Both are equipped with the BrightDrives GUI for control and management.
