ADVC-HDM1 – Grass Valley High Quality HD Video Conversion

The ADVC-HDM1 offers high-quality bidirectional conversion between HD-SDI and HDV signals and embedded audio.

The ADVC HD family of Grass Valley supports virtually any high definition (HD) video conversion need. As a stand-alone unit or connected to a PC or Mac, all ADVC-HD products offer broad compatibility with video equipment, rugged construction, and stand-alone operation capabilities.

The ADVC-HDM1 offers high-quality bidirectional conversion between HD-SDI and HDV signals and embedded audio. It's perfect for recording from HD-SDI sources to our TurboTM Digital Disc Recorder (iDDR) - or for use as a stand-alone converter without connecting to a computer.

Compatible with non-linear editions based on Windows operating systems and Macintosh supports HDV or HD-SDI, the ADVC-HDM1 unit allows you to easily and instantly convert HD-SDI outputs to HDV and ingest HDV material to HD_SDI systems for archiving. You can also encode HD MPEG-2 transport streams up to 1920x1080 resolution using one of 8 different preset bit-rates that best suits your workflow.

The ADVC-HDM1 also allows you to obtain timecode information from external inputs when encoding in HDV; control of SDI VCRs via HDV and vice versa with AV/C-RS-422 device control conversion; and uses simple two-button control for encode/decode and timecode mode via the front panel.
