'Crocodox': filming of new chapters of this transmedia project begins
'Crocodox' is a project in which the production companies Unaymedia, Quindrop and Cromosoma participate with a technologically advanced crossmedia concept and with multiple entry windows, which is also developed on touch devices (iPad or smartphone), workshops or live events (Crocodox Lab), and an online participatory platform.
This week the filming of new episodes of Crocodox, a container of children's documentaries made by and for children. Marta, Álvaro, Miquel and Jordi, from 5th grade at the Aula Balear school in Palma, are the protagonists of the first chapter, The steroid hunters. In it, children will become reporters and investigate at the Astronomical Observatory of Mallorca what asteroids are and what would happen if one of them fell on our heads.
At the same time, filming will begin in Catalonia, with the chapter Citibot, where the experience of a group of children participating in the “Lego League” will be followed step by step. The Citilab of Cornellà organizes this international robotics competition for children, in which the kids will have to design, build and program their own robot.
In December, castings began in schools in Mallorca and Catalonia. They are looking for children who want to be Crocodox reporters, and who demonstrate their creativity, their naturalness in front of the cameras and their ability to find solutions and work as a team.
Crocodox It is led by the production company Unaymedia, together with the Mallorcan Quindrop and the Catalan Cromosoma. The project has received the support of the Ministry of Culture in its plan for technological adaptation of cultural industries, and has the collaboration of the Audiovisual Cluster of the Balearic Islands and the Fundació Digitalent.
crossmedia project
