Thoma Bravo completes the purchase of Telestream

The private investment fund Thoma Bravo has completed the acquisition of Telestream, provider of digital video transcoding solutions and media software. Telestream co-founder and CEO Dan Castles will continue to lead the company's executive management following this transaction, the financial details of which have not been disclosed.
Castles highlighted that "this acquisition positions Telestream well to facilitate further growth of our core businesses, while providing us with additional capital to explore new markets and acquisitions. Thoma Bravo has a well-regarded reputation in the technology space, and their experience will be invaluable as we enter the next phase of our growth and market leadership."
For his part, Holden Spaht, partner at Thoma Bravo, has assured that "we see enormous growth opportunities in the digital media industry. Based on Telestream's reputation and its leading position in the market, we believe that the company represents a key piece in Thoma Bravo's strategy to accelerate the growth of best-in-class technology companies."

With the entry into Telestream, there are already almost twenty technology companies that have Thoma Bravo as an investor.
