Pike will be responsible for overseeing GlobeCast's day-to-day technical operations in the Americas, ensuring high quality of service and overseeing the maintenance of transmission systems and equipment.

GlobeCast Americas has announced the appointment of Randolphe “Randy” Pike as vice president of broadcast engineering. He will report to Chief Technology Officer, Bart Palmer, and will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day technical operations of GlobeCast in the Americas, ensuring high quality of service and overseeing the maintenance of transmission systems and equipment.

Pike will be based in Culver City, California, and will be responsible for overseeing GlobeCast's facilities there as well as the technical operations center in Sunrisa, Florida.

Prior to joining GlobeCast, Pike was Vice President of Engineering and Affiliate Relations at Fox Broadcasting Company, managing Fox's satellite fleet, video-on-demand encoding, linear product compression and distribution systems. Prior to this, he was Chief Technology Officer for Starz Encore Group, where he oversaw satellite broadcasting, SVOD operations, and affiliate licensing. He has also held different positions of responsibility at NDTC, TCI, TVN, General Instruments and Oak Communications.
