The new Advent Mantis MSAT Man Portable Data Terminal system offers a powerful tri-band antenna specially designed for rapid deployment in hostile environments.

Vislink will launch at CABSAT 2012 the new Advent MSAT (Man Portable Data Terminal) system, a powerful tri-band antenna specially designed for rapid deployment in hostile environments.

The system is fully integrated and its portable design requires less than five minutes from arrival to beginning transmission, which is ideal for rapid deployment of field applications where there is no time to waste.

Weighing just 12.5 kilos, the MSAT is specifically designed to be carried by one person and provides powerful functionality for applications such as high security military communications, special operations, disaster recovery and of course broadcast broadcasts from complex locations.

With a 65 cm reflector antenna, it can be used in Ka, Ku and X bands, powered directly from the network or via 12VDC.

Ali Zarkesh, head of this project at Vislink, highlighted that “MSAT is our first foray into the rapid deployment and light terminal market.”
