LiveU develops a 4K/Quad HD video receiver for ST 2110 environments
LiveU has leveraged its IP video experience to launch a single 4K/Quad HD video receiver for installations based on the ST 2110 protocol.
With this latest addition to LiveU's IP Video EcoSystem, the company provides an efficient and adaptable way to receive live content streams LRT (LiveU Reliable Transport) high quality from any device LiveU EcoSystem and then seamlessly output them as regular 2110 compliant.
Also eliminates complexity y provides uninterrupted connectivity from the field to your facilities. He LU4000 ST 2110 LiveU works as an all-in-one receiver in the video chain, reducing IT costs, time and overhead while keeping everything in sync.
Based on LiveU's LRT protocol, the receiver allows a Resilient, low-latency IP-to-IP workflow to receive a single 4K video signal or up to four Full HD live streams, increasing the operational scalability of the ST 2110.
The LU4000 ST 2110 can be deployed quickly, regardless of network configuration. Tasks have been automated to shorten the workflow, including switcher routing and processing of separately joined data, audio and video streams.
Furthermore, it is totally compatible con NMOS, making it easy to discover and control devices. The product architecture future-proofs it to enable further workflow simplification developments, giving customers complete peace of mind and effortless upgrades.
Of course, redundancy is also vital and the LU4000 ST 2110 meets the highest standard of path redundancy defined by SMPTE 2022-7. Users will benefit from stable stream transmission along with the consistency provided by hardware-based Precision Time Protocol (PTP) power synchronization, again providing complete peace of mind through solid operation.
Yulia Rozmarin, Director of Product Management at LiveU, comments that "IP video is increasingly used throughout our customers' entire workflow, so it's no surprise that almost everyone building or upgrading a broadcast facility is thinking 'IP First'. The benefits of a complete ST 2110 live IP video production facility are clear, our customers have also reported that the complexity needs careful management. For this reason, we are delighted to be able to reduce this complexity, eliminating the need to manage and maintain receivers and transcoders separately and simplify the flow between LRT and ST 2110. Now our customers can connect the powerful creative possibilities opened by the LiveU Ecosystem powered by LRT™ directly with their SMPTE ST 2110 installations in a much simpler and more robust way.”
Rozmarin adds that “adaptability and flexibility are key pillars of what we do, and customers are confident in knowing that we will continue to support them in the future, whether in IP or the still important IDE.”
