The CCTV China awards VITEC an important contract

VITEC Videcom will supply the Chinese public broadcasting BroadCaster, lighting equipment and transport bags for a global amount of 1.2 million dollars.

The Chinese Broadcastr CCTV, coinciding with the implementation of a new information and magazines channel, has just closed an important operation with Vitec Videocom for the supply of tripods, lighting equipment and bags for transport for global amount of 1.2 million dollars.

A total of 180 ENG equipment will use the Tripods and DV10 heads of Sachtler, with a payload of up to 12 kg. Since the new information and entertainment channel will be broadcast on HD, larger cameras will be used in EFP Study operations, opting in this case by the Tripods Sachtler Video 18 (18 Kg. Useful charge) and video 25 (up to 35 kg.). In total, VITEC will serve 130 Video 18 and 20 Video 25 systems, including tripods, heads and crossheads.

To protect all this equipment, CCTV has also ordered 350 PC-104 oil transport bags for lighting, the chosen solution has been the LED micro-prove luminaires. CCTV has acquired a total of 220 Litepanel lighting equipment.

Hu Ruilin, at the head of this great project in CCTV, has indicated that although they were contemplating other brands, they finally opted for Sachter "since the climatic conditions vary widely in our great country of the summer to winter, so we needed to have the necessary confidence to be able to assemble the Tripods of Sachtler quickly and reliably, regardless of the weather."

"LitePanel LED lighting consumes very little energy which means obtaining the maximum performance of the batteries anywhere," he added. "The whole team is designed for a long life, although we opted for additional protection with oil bags to help our teams fly from one place to another," said Hu Ruilin.

This commission happens to a similar one that has already occurred at the beginning of 2012 for the purchase of study material with pedestals and tripods Sachtler and Vintenn, as well as Sachtler HD Artemis stabilization systems.
