Chinese national television (CCTV) launches its first 4K channel

At the moment, it will only be available in 13 cities such as Beijing, Shanghai or Guangdong. Coverage will increase until 2021.

China Media Group launched its first national television channel this October 1 CCTV en 4K Ultra HD. The channel will broadcast 18 hours a day from 6 a.m. until midnight. Its 4K programming will include documentaries, sporting events, television series and animated series.
