Madrid Film Commission at the Cannes Festival

The Madrid Film Commission, together with its European partners of the C.R.C. film commission network. (Capital Regions for Cinema), will hold a new co-production meeting in Cannes on Tuesday, May 22.

The Foundation Madrid Film Commission actively participates, as has been tradition, in the Cannes International Film Festival.

Together with its European partners from the film commission network C.R.C. (Capital Regions for Cinema), will hold a new co-production meeting in Cannes next Tuesday, May 22.

MFC plans these types of actions to encourage the development of the audiovisual industry in the Community of Madrid and the rest of the European regions that make up this network. International co-production is, increasingly, an essential means of financing for feature film, documentary and animation projects.

These meetings are organized, in addition to the Madrid Film Commission, by the rest of the members of this network of European film commissions, that is: Paris-Ile de France Film Commission, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg and Rome-Lazio Film Commission.

Durante el festival, MFC llevará a cabo otras actividades, como son reuniones con productoras británicas y estadounidenses, presencia en actividades del programa Media y la difusión y distribución de material promocional del Ayuntamiento y de la Comunidad de Madrid en general y de la industria audiovisual madrileña en particular.

Con todas estas acciones, se pretende promocionar internacionalmente la actividad audiovisual de Madrid y fomentar así la atracción de inversión extranjera en beneficio de diferentes sectores empresariales de nuestra ciudad y de nuestra comunidad autónoma.
