Argentina's El Doce begins broadcasting entirely in HD
Starting May 28, El Doce will begin broadcasting all of its programming in HD, after being tested for several months.
Channel 12, known as El Doce, is one of the 3 Córdoba channels that broadcast in that city and will become the first open television channel in the interior of Argentina that will broadcast all its programming in high definition starting this coming weekend.
On November 19, the channel added to its programming the first independently produced program, completely recorded in high definition for the signal. All Inclusive.
On May 14, El Doce launched its new studio “C” (the channel's third studio), with the program The Morning Show. This new studio produces and operates in HD. Added to this are the two previous studios that have recently been producing in HD.
Now, starting May 28, El Doce will begin broadcasting all of its programming in HD, after being in testing for several months; The channel will now stop transmitting El Trece Satelital and will start broadcasting a raw signal (without logo or overlays) from El Trece HD (Argentina); To this, of course, are added the own news programs (Up Córdoba, Noticiero Doce y Telenight) and programs made by production companies from Córdoba (such as The Morning Show, For example).
A history of innovation
El Doce was founded on April 18, 1960, it was the first private channel in Argentina and the second (behind Channel 7 of Buenos Aires, which began broadcasting on August 17, 1951) of the country's open television and the first to be broadcast outside the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.
He joined Artear, a Clarín Group company, in December 1989. It is operated by Telecor SACI, whose corporate integration is made up of Arte Radiotelevisivo Argentino S.A. Artear (85.185% of the shares), Francisco Alejo Quiñonero (9.087%) and Carmen Quiñonero de Braver (5.728%).
