The DocsDF festival is recast as one of the great world documentary events
The Mexico City International Documentary Film Festival (DocsDF) begins a new stage of consolidation and growth.
After six years of existence, the Mexico City International Documentary Film Festival (DocsDF) has demonstrated its quality, positioning and national and international impact. For this reason, the festival begins a new stage of consolidation and growth, incorporating new components that will place Mexico City on the world stage.
The Latin Side of the Doc is an event carried out thanks to the merger and co-production work of DocsDF and Sunny Side of the Doc, one of the most important markets in Europe and one of the most prestigious on the planet with 22 years of experience.
It will be a space where international alliances will be created, support will be granted to new projects and the opportunity to learn about the most recent international productions will be given, seeking to establish a framework of cooperation between Europe and Latin America.
With the merger of these two institutions DocsDF is emerging as the largest documentary market in Latin America.
From November 7 to 9, the Latin Side of the Doc will take place and more than 300 participants (70 of them decision makers) from 35 countries in America and Europe will attend.
The objective of the Latin Side of the Doc is to create a new work platform that enhances the interaction between documentary projects and possible co-producers, financiers or distributors aware that international co-production will stimulate the development of Ibero-American documentary filmmaking.
