Radio and current sound production face important challenges and questions. Tune in the future: radio and sound production in the 21st century, is a work coordinated by J. Ignacio Gallego Pérez and Mª Trinidad Garcia Leiva that tries to offer a panoramic view of the main transformations that the environment is experiencing.

The book, edited by the RTVE Institute in three thematic blocks that include five cases of study, chosen from its relevance and value as unique examples.

The first block, dedicated to revealing regulation, market structure and public policies for the sector, aims to offer a founded vision of political business keys that structure Spanish radio in the European context.

The second seeks to account for the latest technical advances by gathering works dedicated to presenting the most important trends and applications of new technologies for sound and radio and radio consumption. Finally, the third block investigates relationships between radio, aesthetics and art language, on the one hand, and programming and content, on the other.

The book participates not only recognized researchers from the radio medium but also outstanding professionals in the sector.
