Isabel Coixet begins filming 'Yesterday never ends'
This co-production between Miss Wasabi films and A Contracorriente Films will extend filming until mid-October in Igualada and the surrounding areas of Barcelona.
On September 18, Isabel Coixet will begin filming her new film Yesterday Never Ends with her own script. This co-production between Miss Wasabi Films and A Contracorriente Films will extend filming until mid-October in Igualada and the surrounding areas of Barcelona.
The main actors are Javier Cámara and Candela Peña and the soundtrack will be composed by Alfonso Vilallonga.
All participants in the film, both the technical and artistic teams, have signed a confidentiality clause, because the director does not wish to reveal the plot of the film at the moment. The actors are prohibited from revealing details of the script, which is only known to take place in the near future, in 2017.
Coixet has commented that "lately, the viewer comes to movies, knowing too many things about them. Sometimes, by watching the trailer, you already get an idea of the film... And the more you know about it, the less you want to see it. There is an unhealthy saturation of information. I already know that it will be almost impossible, but I would like the viewers to come to Yesterday never ends knowing very little of the history. The only thing I can say is that for me, it is a kind of return to the world of My life without me mixed with aspects of the now and here of the situation we are experiencing as a country. For my part, the only thing I know is that this film would not be possible without the absolute dedication of Javier and Candela. I feel lucky to have them with me on this adventure. Every minute we have rehearsed has been precious. And I know that on the screen they are going to surprise, excite and hit the viewer.”
