Rome hosts the filming of 'Tre Ciotole', a film by Isabel Coixet

Cattleya (part of ITV Studios), Rough Productions, Bartlebyfilm, Buenapinta Media, Bteam Prods, Colosé Producciones and Perdición Films promote the Italian-Spanish production 'Tre Ciotole', a feature film directed by Isabel Coixet inspired by the semi-autobiographical posthumous book by the feminist activist Michela Murgia.

Written by herself lame accompanied by Enrico Audenino, Three Bowls relata la historia de una mujer que, en palabras de la propia cinasta, se encuentra ante dos situaciones difíciles. “Está atravesando una ruptura dolorosa y se enfrenta a lo inevitable. Pero ella no está pidiendo nada ni regateando; simplemente se inclina, como cuando uno se despide del sol al atardecer, confiando en que volverá a levantarse en un lugar que aún no conoce. Quiero contar su viaje por la Roma de hoy con ternura y emoción, porque Marta nos enseña que incluso en un adiós hay belleza, y que en el dolor también hay espacio para la alegría”, comenta.

Three Bowls está protagonizada por Alba Rohrwacher (Hungry Hearts, La Quimera, Lazzaro feliz, La soledad de los números primos) y Elio Germano (Our life, Volevo). The film also has Francesco Carril; the actor, who repeats with Coixet after his participation in one love, has starred in the acclaimed series The new years by Rodrigo Sorogoyen, work that has earned him numerous recognitions.

Three Bowls will be distributed in Spain by Bteam Pictures, and features the participation of Max. In Italy, the film is distributed Vision Distribution, which is also in charge of international sales, and has the participation of Sky. Likewise, the film has the support of the Italian Ministry of Culture (MIC – DGCA) through the Investment Fund for the Development of Cinema and Audiovisual.

This is the synopsis from the film: "Marta and Antonio are a couple who separate after what seems like a trivial argument. Marta (Alba Rohrwacher) reacts to the breakup by withdrawing into herself. The only symptom she cannot ignore is her sudden lack of appetite. Meanwhile, Antonio (Elio Germano), a chef on the rise, cannot forget her despite having been the one who ended the relationship.
