The Valencian Community hosts the filming of 'Canvi', a documentary film about climate change
Virtual Art produce Canvi, largometraje documental sobre el cambio climático y sus efectos cuyo rodaje ya ha comenzado en la Comunidad Valenciana.
Canvi, documental con una narrativa ficcionada dirigido por Javier Horrillo, will tell the story of Alba, a teenager who does not believe in climate change and who, for reasons of chance, is forced to do a job on this complex issue. Throughout her research work, viewers will be able to discover interviews with several prestigious scientists who carry out their studies within the Valencian Community, environmental educators, a young activist, a garden shepherd, etc.
The film, born from the need to raise awareness of the urgency of climate change, praises the work of people who dedicate their time to documenting and caring for our environment. For the creation of the script, a consensus has been reached with different experts in the field, with the support of centers such as AEMET (State Meteorological Agency), the CEAM (Mediterranean Environmental Education Center), the CEACV (Environmental Education Center of the Valencian Community), the IVIA (Valencian Institute of Agrarian Research) or the Oceanographic Foundation, among others.
One of the differentiating bets of this film is that, once it has made its way through festivals, television and platforms, the producer and the director want to donate the rights to the Ministry of Culture, so that teachers can use the film as a tool for the education and awareness of young people.
Both the director and the producer appreciate the support of the IVC (Valencian Institute of Culture) without which “this project would never have seen the light.” Although the film is currently being shot, the production company continues working on obtaining the necessary financing.
