18th Los Angeles Spanish Film Festival
La décimo octava edición de la muestra de cine español Recent Spanish Cinema se ha celebrado este fin de semana en el Teatro Egyptian colgando el cartel de ‘completo’.
El Instituto de la Cinematografía y de las Artes Audiovisuales (ICAA) del Ministerio de Educación, Cultura y Deporte y EGEDA (Entidad de Gestión de los productores Audiovisuales), instituciones que trabajan activamente por la promoción del cine español internacionalmente junto con la American Cinematheque, institución que pretende acercar el cine español al público de EE.UU, han presentado la décimo octava edición de la muestra de cine español Recent Spanish Cinema, en el Teatro Egyptian, entre los días 11 y 14 de octubre, 2012.
During these days, the American public has been able to see the most representative recent titles of current Spanish cinema, with the assistance of their protagonists. Pablo Berger, Ángela Molina, Benito Zambrano and Patricia Ferreira will visit the Egyptian Theater in Los Angeles, presenting their films, in the most important event of Spanish cinema in Hollywood.
The exhibition has been inaugurated with snow white, one of the films of the year, directed by Pablo Berger and starring Macarena García, Maribel Verdú and Ángela Molina, and Spanish representative at the Hollywood Oscars for best foreign film.
The inauguration in Los Angeles took place last night at the Egyptian Theater with a red carpet attended by an important Spanish delegation led by Pablo Berger, Angela Molina, Benito Zambrano and Patricia Ferreira.
In addition, Recent Spanish Cinema has the 2012 Goya-winning film, There will be no peace for the wicked, by Enrique Urbizu; Alberto Rodríguez's police thriller, Grupo 7; the youth movie I want you, by Fernando González Molina; the animated film Wrinkles, directed by Ignacio Ferreras and based on the comic of the same title by Paco Roca; The wild children by Patricia Ferreira and The Sleeping Voice, directed by Benito Zambrano.
This exhibition will continue with Recent Cinema from Spain in Miami, an exhibition organized by EGEDA in which the ICAA also collaborates, during November 8 to 11 and which will feature in its program some of the most representative titles of those released this last year in Spain.
