The new version of the popular Hero camera is lighter, incorporates WiFi connectivity and offers higher resolution.

GoPro launches the third version of the Hero camera, so popular in extreme sports, to the market. The new Hero 3 will now have Wi-Fi connectivity, will be lighter and will allow working with resolutions up to 4K.

The manufacturer has reduced the camera by 30% and lightened it by 25%. But, the most notable thing is that it will offer up to four times the resolution of the current model.

The higher version (Black Edition) will allow recording at 4K although only at 15 frames per second. With a faster processor, the model will be able to record in Full HD (1080p) at 60 frames per second, 1440p at 48 frames and 720 at 120 fps, thus generating interesting slow motion images.

The intermediate version (Silver Edition) will offer Full HD at 30 frames per second and an 11 megapixel sensor for photos. As for the cheapest, White Edition, it will have 5 megapixels for photos and the same video resolutions as the Silver Edition.

All versions will have a WiFi version without the need for any peripheral.
