The audiovisual industry in the cloud, reality or fiction?

Under this title, on November 20, Knowledge Innovation Market (KIM) and VSN are organizing a conference in which some of the main challenges and needs facing the media and entertainment sector will be presented. The main actors in the audiovisual content chain will participate.

Next November 20, Knowledge Innovation Market (KIM) y VSN They organize an interesting conference in the Auditorium of the Communication Campus of the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona in which under the title The audiovisual industry in the cloud, reality or fiction? Some of the main challenges and needs facing the media and entertainment sector will be raised.

The transition from the analog to the digital world experienced in the last decade is revolutionizing the traditional media and entertainment sectors, and, in particular, the models associated with the sale of rights and the distribution of digital content. Traditional business models are being replaced by new models, derived from the emergence of new channels and the need to organize distribution in a more efficient way. These models are motivating a redefinition of the commercial strategies of the chain agents, betting on the cloud phenomenon.

On the 20th, all these aspects will be analyzed with the participation of the main actors in the audiovisual content chain; from production companies, content distributors, public organizations, audiovisual rights managers to media outlets.

All of them will share their multidisciplinary perspectives around round tables moderated by experts.

During the session, the latest technological developments aimed at making companies that make up the digital content value chain more competitive will also be presented, focusing especially on ICT tools based on cloud computing and practical cases that allow us to see the relationship between these applications and the sector's own needs.
