Eyeheight presents the LE-2M-K legalizer at InterBee
The LE-2M-K auto-detects SDI or HD-SDI video signals at 1080i/50/59.94, 720p/50/59.84, 625/50 or 525/59.94 and applies the corresponding format legalization. In addition, it allows loudness correction in real time.
The new LE-2M-K legalizer that Eyeheight Presented these days at InterBee in Tokyo, it incorporates a loudness correction to achieve full compliance with standard video and audio levels.
The LE-2M-K auto-detects SDI or HD-SDI video signals at 1080i/50/59.94, 720p/50/59.84, 625/50 or 525/59.94 and applies the corresponding format legalization.
The incoming video signal is then ensured to remain within the user-selected parameters of RGB, YUV, composite (PAL or NTSC), or combined RGB and composite. Legalization can be carried out in accordance with the EBU-R 2003 standard, 7.5 IRE or 0 IRE Pedestal. The equipment has six memories, offering the most common setups.
This legalizer includes ClobberRing technology for automatic luma correction and undershoot suppression, chroma gain, black level adjustment, hue rotation, saturation and soft-clipping-knee adjustable levels. An “out of range” feed indicates the severity of the overshoot and in which area of the image signal correction is being carried out.
In audio, the Eyeheight LE-2M-K offers automatic loudness control and true peak level using the ITU-R BS.1770 standard for multi-channel audio displaying actual volume.
Both stereo and surround sound are continuously monitored, adjusting system gain perfectly across all channels to maintain loudness limits while preserving audio imaging. The processor also performs 8x upsampling with true peak estimation and instant correction even on surround channels, ensuring compliance with loudness levels.
