Autodesk Smoke 2013, now on sale

After months of waiting, since its announcement last April during NAB 2012, the new professional video editing software Autodesk Smoke 2013 is now available.

The new Smoke 2013, which Autodesk Now on sale, it is designed to meet the needs of professional editors working in video production, corporate video, online video and other competitive environments where creative productions require editing and effects. Smoke delivers new editing and effects possibilities within a single, efficient timeline-based workflow, sleek user interface, running on a wide variety of Apple MacBook Pros and iMacs.

New features that have come directly from user recommendations include dragging and dropping a clip from the playback source directly to the timeline and the ability to expand and collapse the FX workspace in the timeline, as well as a complete redesign of the user interface that aims to improve workflow speed. The new, intuitive all-in-one interface combines track-based creative workflow, which combines conventional editing with proven Autodesk creative tools.

Another feature that Smoke 2013 incorporates is ConnectFX, a powerful tool based on composition nodes within the timeline that allows a high range of effects and advanced composition without leaving the editorial environment.

Autodesk has also included a robust set of proven high-end finishing tools, true 3D compositing, Color Warper for professional grading and color correction, Master Keyer for one-click chroma keying and stereoscopic 3D editing and effects.
