Mediasilo facilitates hybrid Cloud/Ground workflows with Ubiquity

MediaSilo, a provider of solutions for collaborative and media environments in the cloud, today announced that it has partnered with major system integrators to implement hybrid solutions giving its customers access at any time to the content stored in its repositories on SAN, NAS or MAM. The first of these hybrid solutions is the Ubiquity server. Developed by Media Consulting XPlatform SI, Ubiquity allows users to perform a single search across multiple SAN, NAS or MAM systems, facilitating hybrid Cloud/Ground workflows for ingesting, transcoding, and reviewing media resources.

Ubiquity is an automation and management platform that integrates the MediaSilo cloud service with the management of major digital assets, video encoding, cloud storage, CDN, and digital file management technologies. With Ubiquity, media companies can catalog multiple land media components, including NAS, SAN, or MAM storage media systems and then synchronize these repositories to the MediaSilo cloud. MediaSilo automatically stores metadata and proxy low-resolution versions of high-resolution content stored on physical systems, making it easy for professionals to access media from anywhere to browse the content they are looking for simply by accessing it through the MediaSilo interface.
