The new service based on Real Time Messaging Protocol allows live broadcasting over IP networks.

iStreamPlanet ha anunciado la incorporación de un nuevo servicio basado en RPTM (Real Time Messaging Protocol) a su portfolio de soluciones. El sistema permite a cualquier productor o emisor llegar a su audiencia a través de dispositivos conectados en IP. Los nuevos servicios incluyen la incluir una fuente de vídeo en tiempo real por RTMP de tasa de bit única y reproducir streams de RPTM con múltiples tasas de bits. Lou Greco, executive vice president of global sales and services at iStreamPlanet, highlighted that "IP-based RTMP helps reduce the cost and complexity of live video streaming, allowing content to be added from virtually anywhere in the world. In addition to traditional satellite and fiber traffic, this new system offers a complete infrastructure that will allow professionals to offer linear channels and live streaming, complementing their existing on-demand and live content."

To use the application workflow, content providers make the RTMP stream available on the iStreamPlanet-certified content delivery network CDN. The company delivers the stream to the CDN for media processing, including output for multi-bitrate HLS or RTMP streams HTTP Live Streaming or RTMP, and publishes a certificate for multi-screen playback to the CDN.
