Warner Bros. inaugurates a creative animation center

La misión de este área de negocio será desarrollar y producir películas de animación de alta calidad, con el objetivo de que un equipo selecto de cineastas de gran talento puedan colaborar con el estudio dirigiendo varios proyectos de principio a fin.

The artists who will participate in the new Warner Bros. Animation project. They are: John Requa and Glenn Ficarra (Amor a toda prueba, Cats & Dogs), Nicholas Stoller (The Muppets), Lord y Chris Miller Phil (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs) y Jared Stern (daddy's penguins).

The filmmakers will work both individually and collectively, supporting each other in the conception of the films. Their efforts will not be dedicated exclusively to the studio's animated productions but will also write and direct live-action films.

In making the announcement of the launch of this project, Warner President Jeff Robinov stated that "Warner Bros. has an extraordinary legacy in the world of animation, including some of the most notable characters in the history of cinema. Looking ahead, some of the industry's brightest talents have now been brought together to help us grow and expand this legacy. Building on their imagination and inspiration, the studio will produce a series of new animated films that will delight audiences of all ages."

The first production in the portfolio is Lego-The Movie, a 3D film directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller.
