The combination of the DAVID family of playout systems and Axia consoles will offer an attractive, easy-to-install and easy-to-use solution for different levels of workflows.

DAVID Systems has closed a collaboration agreement with Axia Audio in order to simplify content production, reproduction and dissemination through IP-Audio network protocols.

DAVID's solutions, TurboPlayer Pro, TurboPlayer Cart, TurboPlayer Lite and TurboPlayer News), as well as MultiTrack Editor (MTE) and Base Manager (DBM) will now be more tightly integrated with Axia Audio's Livewire protocol, allowing Axia console users to control playback with the push of a button, as well as recording and control via MTE and DBM.

Vincent Benveniste, CEO of DAVID, stated that “”the cooperation with Axia Audio fits with our vision of bringing media services to IT companies. The combination of our family of playout systems and Axia consoles offer an attractive, easy-to-install and easy-to-use solution for different levels of workflows, providing our customers with the flexibility and profitability they aspire to.”

DAVID Systems has been a Livewire partner for years, and has extensive experience with this IP-Audio technology. An example is Radio Tirol in northern Italy, which has been using DAVID Systems products in combination with Livewire for the last four years.
DAVID Systems solutions are tailored to work with IP-based technology and offer support for both Audio over IP and General Purpose In/Out (GPIO) over IP natively.

Clark Novak, as Axia's marketing director, has asked "why does the broadcast system have full mastery of the functions of the broadcast console and hardware? Because DAVID engineers have understood the benefits of this level of interoperability and are working hard to make these benefits available to all broadcasters."
