CEV closes a collaboration agreement with the New York Film Academy
CEV students will benefit from a series of exclusive NYFA workshops on the film industry that will take place at CEV centers in Madrid and Barcelona.
The Higher School of Communication, Image and Sound (CEV) has established a collaboration agreement that has allowed it to become the only academic “partner” of the prestigious New York Film Academy, College of Visual & Performing Arts (NYFA).
An important element of the agreement between both schools is that students of British CEV qualifications who complete their training will have the opportunity to progress to postgraduate studies that NYFA offers in the USA.
The graduate programs, Master of Fine Arts and Master of Arts, are offered at the school's campuses in Los Angeles and New York. Students in Master's programs can begin their studies with a first year on the NYC campus and finish the second year on the LA campus.
As an additional element of the recently signed Memorandum of Agreement between the two schools, CEV students will benefit from a series of exclusive NYFA workshops on the film industry that will take place at CEV centers in Madrid and Barcelona, at various times throughout the year.
The two schools have developed a series of intensive workshops, lasting two or three days, focused mainly on the work of audiovisual media professionals at an international level. The first of these workshops, which will focus on the development of film and TV projects for the international market, will be taught by NYFA professor and renowned prestigious producer - with more than twenty years of experience in the field of North American and British cinematography -, Neal Weisman.
NYFA offers courses in 15 different areas of study in New York, Los Angeles, South Beach/Miami, Gold Coast (Australia), Florence, and other locations around the world. Thousands of future artists from around 120 countries study its training programs every year.
For its part, CEV is a private school created more than 40 years ago that has offices in Madrid and Barcelona, which offer a total of more than 6,000m² of facilities equipped with the latest technology.
